Question:

I use this product but I applied it two days ago and found 2 tics on my bulldog. They were in her skin and shows bite marks and blood. Doesn't this control tics?

Answer:

This product doesn't treat ticks. However it controls only 1 type of tick (American Dog Tick) infestations.

Yes, according to its label Stronghold is safe to use on pregnant and lactating dogs.

Question:

My dog had diarrhea and was recently diagnosed with whipworm. I have him on Stronghold; is this a parasite not covered by stronghold? if I wanted to protect him in the future from recurrent whipworm infestations ( because who knows where he got it from?) what would I need to give him in addition to the stronghold, because I have been happy with the flea protection it offers, as well as heartworm, all in one.

Answer:

We can recommend Bayer's Advocate. It also covers flea, heartworm and intestinal worms (including whipworm). It also covers lungworms. Or you can just top up Stronghold with Drontal Plus dewormer which covers almost all intestinal whors including whipworm.

Question:

Does this topical leave a greasy residue or is it alcohol based?

Answer:

It has kind of a greasy appearance on the coat. It is not alcohol based.
