Since you're based in UK, is there going to be an extra charge on my credit card because of the dollar conversion and overseas charge?

All our prices is in US dollars so there won't be any difference on exchange rates. However some banks charge small fee for overseas transactions which we can't control. You can check with your credit card provider to avoid this.
